Dear Guest of Munich,
Below I have listed the main districts of Munich to give you
a brief overview on the locations of Munich.
Allach
Located North of the City being a place with mainly residential areas
for the traditional German Family. Dachau Castle Grounds are nearby,
so is Oberschleissheim Castle and Historic Airport Grounds and Exhibition.

(Bavarian International School nearby)
Arabellapark
Very Central and on the Borderline to Bogenhausen. Very popular with
our Arabic Guests who visit Munich and its Clinics for their yearly
annual health checkup.
Biederstein (North-Schwabing)
Adjacent to the English Garden and a charming spot in Munich. Crowds
usually flock to the Beergarden at “Kleinhesseloher See”
which is close to Biederstein.
Bonner Platz
(North-Schwabing)
A rather unknown spot in Munich, although attractive. Only 10 min.
walk to the heart of Schwabing this area is slightly away from the
hectic of Schwabing life and provides flats in traffic calmed streets
as well as Olympic Centre and Luitpoldpark in walking distance.
Gärtnerplatzquarter
Very Downtown.
Most central – walking distance to all amenities – Marienplatz,
Viktualienmarkt, Theatres, Cinemas, Bars, Restaurants,
Very high leisure level –
Strong demand results in high prices.
Gern
Residential Houses, old villas – smart!
Close to Castle Nymphenburg. U1 Gern, the new Underground line makes
Gern a most well connected area now.
Neuhausen, a kind of sibling to Schwabing which is bordering onto
Gern offers superb shopping, nighlife and ethnic restaurants.
Glockenbachquarter/Isarvorstadt
Close to River Isar which makes it an attractive location for people
who enjoy the jogging and working out as much as the occasional beer
in the evening.
Grünwald
Big Houses, Residential Area for nearly all VIP´s of Munich!
Well located for access to the South, Motorways, etc. River Isar a
stone´s throw away. Tram 25 takes you to U1 (Wettersteinplatz),
U2 (Silberhornstrasse), S (Rosenheimerplatz), U4 (Max-Weberplatz)
Haidhausen
TOP 5 LOCATION MUNICH.
Makes it hot candidate together with Isartor / Lehel / Schwabing to
beat for the best location.
Luxuriously renovated pre-war buildings make it a pleasure for every
eye.
Weissenburger Platz an “oasis” in hectic business life.
German Museum, Gasteig (theatre, events, library) Muenchner Volksbad,
Praterinsel, are all worth exploring.
Haidhausen has a superb restaurant and barscene and offers something
for every palate.
Harlaching
Very similar to Grünwald, but 3 kms closer to Munich, same route,
south of Munich.
Superb residences.
Heimeranplatz
Very central – good public transport system makes it an attractive
spot for every direction of work. The area “Westend” has
seen an impressive Upgrade from the initial modest quarters to a now
bubbly area with lots of ethnic restaurants, etc.
Isartor
TOP 5 LOCATION MUNICH.
Most sought after area, bordering onto Lehel.
Walking distance to Marienplatz, Viktualienmarkt and any kind of shopping.
Cinemas, Swimming Pools, German Museum, Theatres, there is nothing
you cannot explore on foot.
Laim
Ideal for people who work centrally or west of Munich.
Safe and pleasant residential area, well connected by two tram lines
and U4/U5.
Lehel
TOP 5 LOCATION MUNICH.
Sibling to “Isartor” – also 5 star in every aspect.
Neuhausen
Still not as known as its counterpart “Schwabing” but
no need to hide for Neuhausen!
Public Transport at its best, big department stores, small corner
shops, individual coffee places, the most famous icecream parlour
of Munich. In short – a variety indeed.
Nymphenburg
Representative area with old villas from the “castle times”.
Nymphenburg park a true beauty.
Bordering onto Neuhausen / Gern and ideal for people who like to be
central but with that “touch” of green and tranquillity
at their doorstep.

Ostbahnhof Region
Most sought after since the majority of Munich companies are located
around this area which results in big demand for living quarters.
There is not “only” Kunstpark Ost to be explored …
Ostbahnhof borders onto “Haidhausen”, another TOP FIVE
LOCATION of Munich.
Pasing
There is often the misjudgement that “Pasing” is way out
of Munich.
10 minutes on the S-Bahn and you have reached the city!
Pasing is pretty much an independent village and offers all facilities
you would also expect to find downtown.
Excellent shopping plus excellent connections to the South of Munich
with its lakes and lovely countryside make it well worth to consider
Pasing.
Schools, Kindergarden and the Munich International School within reach.
Schwabing
TOP 5 LOCATION MUNICH.
A household name of Munich since the 60´s.
Who has not strolled down Leopoldstrasse on a hot Summer evening and
enjoyed the scenery in English Garden plus its quaint beergarden “Kleinhesseloher
See”?
Solln
Presigious area, like Grünwald / Harlaching.
Traffic calmed streets and residential homes are a pleasure to see.
Munich International School is close by. International Families are
keen residents of Solln and make it an interesting mix.

Theresienwiese
This area also has seen an upgrade from the initial “non-descript”
Trade Fair Area to new and modern houses and offices. Theresienwiese
hosts the world-famous Beerfestival each September!
